In line with the advice issued today by the Church of England, St Aidan's will be suspending all meetings and services (including Sundays) with immediate effect and until further notice.

From Revd Rich
I am very aware that there will be some in our church community (and our friends in the wider community) for whom the latest measures (both from the CofE and government} will be potentially very challenging and isolating, and so I will be working with the PCC in the coming days to draw up a plan of action of how we can best respond as a church to provide both practical help and ongoing spiritual support to people, as far as we are able.

Please do pass on this message to folk and if you know of anyone that may need practical support, or simply that we can hold in prayer, please either send a Facebook message to the St Aidan's page or email me directly at

St Aidans

These are challenging and uncertain times, but we need to remain prayerful, full of faith in Jesus and as loving and caring as we possibly can - taking into account the governments advice.

'So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.'
                                    [Isaiah 41:10, NIV]
God bless,
Revd Rich Phillips
