Call into St Aidan's Cafe and have a nice cup of coffee in pleasant surroundings. The menu includes tea & filter coffee at only 60p; latte, cappuccino and hot chocolate starting from £1.10; and hot & cold snacks - panini, jacket potatoes, home-made soup. A speciality drink and a piece of home-made cake make a great afternoon treat.
The Cafe is child friendly and usually very busy between 11.30am and 1.00pm with Mums, Dads & toddlers. We also welcome staff from the local schools and teenagers on training projects with PROBE.
The Cafe is open weekdays 9.00am to 3.00pm and is run by a team of volunteers led by Amanda, the Cafe Manager. To give our volunteers a well earned break, we close during some school holidays. The Cafe is a wireless internet hotspot and has computers available for use free of charge.
The Cafe is available for private hire and has been very successfully used for small, informal, wedding receptions and for refreshments after a funeral.
